Iron Man Daisuki!

I watched episode 2 of that Iron Man anime series. It was fairly ridiculous, had a lot of really terrible one-liners (even by my standards which are not high by any means), and the female reporter (Minami? Umami? Something like that…) is apparently going to be a regular character. Skippy.

But, it is Iron Man and the fight sequences are it’s one redeeming quality. They know how to do robots and robot-esque things smashing on each other in anime. I’ll give it a couple more eps to see if the plot goes anywhere interesting. 

There was new Avengers footage. Prepare for a whooooole lot of gif reblogs over the next little while. 

I often tell people that will listen (okay, so just Max) that Marvel is totally sitting on a merchandising gold-mine and they are NOT exploiting it at all and that if I worked for them I would make them piles of money. Large ones. There are so many things that I would gladly hand over my money for if they existed, and they just don’t.

Furthermore, I think they don’t even know how to market what little they do put out. Pyjamas for 8 year old boys? Fuck no Marvel, the money is in making stuff for ladies in the teen to adult range. Do you know how insanely obsessive we are? Because it’s pretty insanely obsessive. Have you guys ever even looked at Tumblr/Twitter/the rest of the internet? Do you ever look out at the sea of people at Comic Con and other events and think to yourselves, “Gee, there sure are a lot of ladies out there.” We have money too Marvel, why won’t you let us give it to you?

And I of course can’t speak for all ladies out there, but I personally love to accessorize. I would buy like 10 bags if they were even remotely fashionable and had something Iron Man on them. If they were nice, I’d even be willing to pay a fair amount of money for them. 

I mean Jesus Christ, I dropped nearly $300 on the stuff in the Marvel line from TokiDoki. I only stopped there because they didn’t have anything else to buy that was in my size! Their shirts fit really big for some reason so I mostly needed smalls, and sometimes could do a medium. Large was huge. Just an FYI if you buy them online and can’t try them on.

You know what I really, really want? Iron Man iPad case. Doesn’t exist. Sometimes you can find stuff on Etsy and the like from enterprising people out there that realize the same thing I do, and bless their hearts for doing what they can, but I would really like some official stuff. 

Maybe I am alone in this and crazy (it’s a definite possibility), but I would love to hear from other ladies on this! Would you buy more Marvel merch if they put out more cute/fashionable ladies stuff?

Jesus, what am I supposed to do now? I’ve got some choreography I was going to work on, guess I could do that…or I could join Twitter.

Nah, I’m just screwing with you guys. Twitter seems like too much work.

If I really, really liked the movie will I like the new show?

Max hated it so I’d be watching on my own.
